Finally a new update!
You might be thinking:
'Are you drawing another portrait of Gerard Butler?...' and the answer is yes, but for different reasons!
This drawing will be donated to CUT! Film Festival. Since a couple of weeks I'm a sponsor, you can find my name at this page!
CUT! Film Festival is an annual film festival and is non-profit benefiting children's charities. I will be drawing several drawing for free just for them, and a portrait of Gerard Butler is one of them!
If you want to do something nice for this great charity, you could come visit them on March 13th till 15th 2009 in Santa Monica CA - USA
you'll get the chance to meet all sorts of interesting people from the film industry, and you'll get the chance to see my drawings as well. There's a slight chance I'll be there too...

I must say that Gerard as a person is the most interesting subject I've ever drawn so far. Not only because he's a good looking guy, his facial features are very gentle.
I feel like with every line I draw, I add a little more of his personality to the drawing as I get to know him. Maybe it doesn't make sense to you and I guess you won't until you truly know what it feels like to draw a portrait. You have to experience it.
Don't draw what you see, draw what you feel.
So I can proudly say I'm very pleased with the result so far. Approx 6 to 7 hours of work. A lot more to come, and I'm looking forward to it!
