I finally got back to my Zack drawing.  If I didn't get so many notes to work on this thing again, I wouldn't have worked on it yesterday. I'm not into drawing game characters as I used to be, so I'm finishing this 'sooner' just for you who waited for it. Last update was on May 18th lmfao. I'm so sorry!  This time I worked on the metal of the sword! This drawing will be my last Final Fantasy drawing. I'm working on it just for you.  Zack: *cough* ...and for Zack. -------------------------------------- metal It's very challanging to create something that looks like metal. I don't think it worked out the way I hoped it would be, but it got quite close.  Front part was done with an HB 0.5mm mechanical pencil. First I drew the lines in the same direction as the pattern of the metal itself. Then I blended it with a tissue, making small circles so it looks equal. Then I drew strong and weak lines to (re)create the structure of the sword. That way I got that 'metal effect'. For the top of the sword I used an H (light parts) and B (sharp dark parts) mech pencil. On the ref the forms weren't quite visible so I just drew what I thought would look well. -------------------------------------- I wonder when I'll be able to post a next work in progress...
