On a cold and dusty afternoon, I found a historic letter from my great-great-great grandmother. To my surprise I discovered that, on the back of the envelope, she had sketched a modern day looking figure whom she described as a 'time traveller' she had met...

Figure practice with David Tennant a.k.a. the Doctor as my model
He's a fun guy to draw, but SO DIFFICULT.
To make it even more difficult I tried to draw a mini galaxy in the reflection on his sunglasses. (Approx 5mm + 7mm / 0.2" + 03" wide). lol. This drawing drove me nutty, so the more pleased I am with the result.
Apart from the face, this sketch was drawn with diagonal pencil strokes only. Used mechanical pencils on A5 size Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook paper. Approx 4 hours.
Quite similar to my Dean sketch that I made about a year ago.
