Commissioned for Christmas

The background story of this drawing is amazing. Info about this man and wonderful musician can be found in the book "Musicophilia" by Oliver Sacks.

You can also check this link for the CD. His music is beautiful and very touching.

The most difficult part about this draw was the background with lightning and the grand piano. I never drew either of these things before. However, the piano wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, maybe because I drew a guitar before?

I loved to work on this every single minute.

Stuff I used:_{2H, H, HB, B, 2B 0.5mm mechanical pencils

tissue for blending

tortillion for blending the details

Was browsing your gallery and you have fantastical bags of talent all over the show, but I had to stop and fave this one because I loved that book/documentary, and that particular story makes for great subject matter, which you've captured marvellously.
