Teeny tiny portrait of Vincent van Gogh which will be my first coloured / pointilism miniature drawing, EVER.

(SIZE 2cm x 3cm)

(...this will kill my coloured pencils for sure. SO WORTH IT.)

I've been getting questions about either Work in Progress scans, or a tutorial (video) of my miniature drawings. Since there's no way I can make a video as my nose is almost pressed against the drawing sheet as I'm drawing (lol), I'll be posting a few scans every now and then.

2 days ago I visited the Van Gogh museum where I took this little drawing with me, where I got to hold it right in front of the real master's work. I got so touched by Vincent's work, that I have officially decided that this miniature drawing will be my little masterpiece of 2011. Ye be warned.

1.5 hours of work so far, done with 0.3mm H mechanical pencil.

Might make some smaller portraits too, not this small but.. smaller. XD Haven't made much realism drawings in awhile so it's about time!
How's the Metallica drawing coming along btw?
