I love Hugh Laurie. Yes I do. 
He's so incredibly talented. He can play music, write music, he's a very funny comedian and his role in House is awesome!
Anyway, it is finally done. I had a really hard time drawing this picture!! At some point I was drawing the hair, and it turned out like crap.
Then I did something I've never done before...:
I took some scissors.
Go me!
The funny thing is that I like this picture so much better this way. I think it has this extra feeling or something, more fun and playful than an usual headshot.
The reference picture was very light and not all that sharp, but remembered a lot of Hugh's features from watching all the episodes of House, so I drew them as good and precise as I could.
The shirt he was wearing was white-ish but it made the drawing look too pale, so I darkened it a lot!
And the hair... well, lets not talk about that
Stuff I used:
2H, H, HB, B & 2B mechanical pencils
Tissue for blending
kneaded & regular eraser
reference picture
scissors xD
A4 sized sketchbook paper
Time spent: approx 8 hours...?
