Changed file to better version (relocated watermark + edited the shading a little)

So I thought only 1 out of 100 people would know who this guy is. Well it happened to be 99 out of 100 people did :lmao: that's a lot of cookies I had to give away.


She's sweet, she's awesome and she has a beautiful gift I actually look up to! This is made for my dear friend and fellow Dream Theater fan :D

:star: Anyway, about Gerard Butler :star:

He's a famous actor, born and raised in Scotland and prefers to be called Gerry. I'm 100% you have seen at least one of his movies, such as:

- Dracula 2000 (as Dracula)
- Timeline (as André Marek)
- Phantom of the Opera (as the Phantom)
- 300 (as King Leonidas)
- P.S. I love you (as Gerry)
- RocknRolla (as One Two)

Timeline (2003) was the first movie I have seen of him. I couldn't find any HQ pics until he got famous with the Phantom of the Opera and 300.

:star: About the drawing :star:

While there are tons of HQ pictures I used a very, VERY low quality picture of Gerry because I liked that one the most. The quality was so low you couldn't even see the eyebrows properly :noes:. I'll post the link to the image as soon as I'm at my laptop. Don't have the pic right here.


The hair... again the hair was the most fun part to draw. :confused: Mainly because of the large dark areas. It's nice to draw a few highlights and the rest is extremely dark. I made videos about drawing them. I'll post them as soon as I got some other drawing videos ready as well.


Originally I added skinstructure but I blended them away. The drawing looked a bit too messy in my opinion... Added some wrinkles here and there from memory since the weren't shown on the original picture either!

  • 2B 0.5mm mech pencil for the hair

  • 2H, H & HB mech pencil for the skin

  • B mech pencil for facial hair

  • 6B & 9B regular pencils for shirt

  • Tissue for blending

  • kneaded eraser

  • LQ ref picture

  • Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook A4 size

    • Time Spent: 20 hours? wow I honestly can't remember!

    Well of course I wouldn't have guessed lol...at leats it seems I was just one of many...I suddenly don't feel so dumb now lol :slow: and I too have worked from low-quality reference pics *cough* youtube screenshots :giggle: but another thing I can agree on, is that hair IS the funnest part of anyone to draw :XD:
