THIS GOT FEATURED ON THE OFFICIAL DOCTOR WHO TUMBLR OMG so exciting! You can find it hereeee
thank you, whoever posted it there!
----------
2 mini-miniature portraits of Doctor Ten & Eleven of the famous Doctor Who TV-series.
I double-challenged myself this time by drawing 2 portraits twice as small as the Winchesters!
In other words, each head required:
8mm x 10mm / 0.3" x 0.4"
This was inspired by =griffsnuff's Tiny portrait, while she was inspired by my Winchesters. So... I guess that means I'm indirectly inspired by myself... somehow...in some way?!
In fact, these portraits are so small, that I had to use a magnifying glass during the drawing process, which was exhausting.
When I wanted to draw shimmering in Eleven's (Matt Smith) left eye, I used an 0.1mm needle. I dipped the tip of the needle in white gel liquid and carefully placed it in the eye. After several tries I finally managed to place it on the right spot. And there you have it: eye shimmering probably no-one would even notice.
Whenever I made a mistake, I couldn't fix it without erasing 1/4th of the drawing. I constantly had to start over and over and over again until I was finally done after spending approx 15 hours on drawing those 2 little fellas.
In summary, I used: - sketchbook paper - tortillions for shading - 0.5mm mechanical pencils for drawing - magnifying glass - needle & white gel - kneaded eraser - steady hand - headaches D:
I will get a bigger miniature portrait of David Tennant soon. I found *THE* perfect picture to draw.
Cheers

I added this to my favorites years ago when I didn't know what Doctor Who was. I started watching this show a month ago and I am now HOOKED. I have a whole new love for this drawing since I just randomly came across it again. lol!
